April 2021 Google SERP Options: Advertisers Are Pulling Out?
For all of your local pack-o-meter watchers, remember that over the past month there has been an increase in the presence of ads and shopping boxes, leading to business optimism about the economy. I don’t want to say it’s raining on the parade in April, but we saw a slight pullback on both SERP features:
I don’t think we can read much about a 2% drop, but maybe those eager beaver PPC jockeys got a little over their skis in March and decided to back off a bit.
We saw a little tick in Knowledge Graphs too, so hopefully you’re doing all of Entity Optimization, right ?:
The biggest change we saw was the presence of related searches, which decreased by about 25 percentage points:
We’re not sure what’s going on here. There is a relatively new format for these, which may cause noise in the data. If anyone has an idea what might be going on, feel free to contact me on Twitter or LinkedIN.
