Google AdSense Auto Adverts simpler and higher
Google announced this morning that AdSense automatic ads are now “easier to use and with better controls to customize the ad experience for your users.”
AdSense’s automatic ads were a beta version as early as 2017 and launched out of beta a few months later. Now Google wants to make these automated ads even easier.
Google said they made it easier to set up, with easier and more flexible customizations and better reporting. Here is the punch list of changes:
- Auto ads will now work with any AdSense ad unit code
- Just add new websites from the “Websites” page, copy and paste the AdSense code and turn on “Automatic ads”
- For pages that you don’t want to use automatic ads on, add these URLs to your “Page Exclusions” list. You can exclude individual pages or entire sections of your website.
- You can see the full summary of your auto ad settings for each of your sites as an overview.
- You can preview how auto ads will look on your site before they run.
- You can delete certain ad placements in the preview using the “Delete” button. Auto ads instantly generate a placement in a new location for you to review
- You can easily specify the ad formats Auto-Ads will show on your website, including matching content.
- You can use the ad loading slider to control the number of automatic ads to display on your pages.
- Google is updating its reports so that you can easily see the auto-ad and manual ad unit performance side-by-side for each of your sites.
