introduction

Hello everybody!

Today I am sharing another traffic source review with you.

It’s called EZmob and its title speaks for itself!

You see “Mob” and you immediately understand that we are going to be dealing with mobile traffic here.

Although desktop traffic is available, the main specialization of this advertising network is mobile traffic in its various formats.

Let’s try to find out what advantages this advertising network offers.

EZmob (Easymob) – is a global mobile DSP with more than 7 billion impressions per day.

Impressive, isn’t it?

They only offer a few different mobile advertising blocks through the only portal for RTB, but they also sell their own direct traffic.

When you buy traffic there, you can access multiple sources, platforms and formats from a single interface.

There you can buy the following formats:

Seasoned media buyers know that when working with mobile advertising banners, you may get some non-targeted clicks due to accidental accidental clicks by users.

The guys at EZmob assure us that they created several blocks of ads to attract mobile users but to protect them from such accidental clicks. This will give you an audience that is more concerned with your offerings.

Now let’s create the campaign, start the traffic and find out what types of optimization we can find in this advertising network!

How to create a campaign on EZmob

Good!

Let’s move on to creating the campaign.

But first we should add a new source to the tracker and set up appropriate macros.

Later it will help us to properly optimize the traffic.

There are the following macros:

character parameter description
publisher {Pubs} Internal publisher ID
Click ID {clickid} Conversion tracking tokens
country {Country} country
carrier {Carrier} carrier
IP {ip} IP address of the user
domain {Domain} Domain of the publisher’s website or app
Bundle ID {bundle up} Bundle or package name
User agent {ua} User agent
IDFA {idfa} iOS device ID
GAID {gaid} Google Advertising ID
exchange {Exchange} Exchange name

Once everything is set up in your ad tracker and you have registered with the EZmob, just click on Add a campaign Button.

EZmob offers several ad formats. So let’s start by choosing the format for which we want to promote our offers.

Step 1 campaign type

Create a campaign on ezmob

On the screenshot, you may see that all the actions can be done in 4 easy steps.

We are now with the first selection of the campaign type.

Given that push ads are pretty trendy right now, I’ll give it a try.

Step 2 campaign details

Details on the EZMOB campaign

Here you should enter the details of the campaign.

While everything is pretty simple here, I just want to make a few comments that I hope you will find useful:

Campaign Name: Campaign name.

Vertical: Mainstream / adult.

Campaign budget: Total campaign budget.

Command / Model: Bid Per Click – For information on recommended bids, contact the Account Manager, who will be able to advise us on the prices to choose.

Frequency upper limit: Rate impressions, ie how often a certain ad is shown to the user within 24 hours.

Tip: At the beginning I advise you not to bet more than 1/24. If you need more traffic later on, you can try reducing it to 1/12.

Alternatively, if you find that conversion decreases after a certain period of work, you can alternatively try increasing the frequency to 1/48 or 1/72 (without changing the motives and optimizing on platforms). This approach will give you more unique users.

Tracking url: Link to the offer or to a specific campaign in the tracker.

Here you are using the macros I mentioned in the table above.

Type: In this case we have push.

Flight data: Start date.

Daily cap: Here you can set a daily budget limit

To advise: I usually start by setting the limit of 200-500 clicks – depending on the offer – but you can increase or remove the limit while the campaign is active. It can help you not to waste the budget on sources that don’t convert. I strongly recommend that you do this for your campaigns.

Tempo: How quickly the budget is spent (proportionally or quickly).

Category: The category of your offer.

Preview url: Here you can insert the same link as for the tracking URL, but without the macros.

That’s it for this step. Now let’s move on to the next one by pressing the button Next button.

Step 3 targeting

Targeting of EZMOB campaigns

The name of this step is self explanatory. What you can target there is:

Country: country

THEY: Functional system

Click on that Include button near each element to include or remove the required target object.

Browser: Browser

Platform: platform

Although I mentioned that the network specializes in mobile traffic, this approach also lets you specify targeting on the desktop or tablet and buy more than mobile traffic.

Connection: Connection Type (3G / Wi-Fi / Both) If you choose 3G, you will have the option to choose your preferred wireless carrier.

SubID: Here you specify the platforms that you want to remove.

We’ll get to this point in the Campaign Optimization Section.

IP list: The list of IP addresses for targeting and exclusion.

I hope everything is clear with campaign targeting. It’s time to move on to the final step where you add your ads.

Step 4 creative

Add ads on ezmob

In this final and final step, we finish creating the campaign by adding themes / ads.

Everything is pretty simple again, but I’m going to give you a few more notes so you can nail your ads.

Creative name: Display name – generated automatically and cannot be edited.

Title: Headline (max. 25 characters)

Description: Advertisement description (max. 40 characters)

Icon picture: Small picture (icon) – size (350 × 350px)

Main picture: Large ad image size (360px × 240px)

At that point, I had a little problem that I haven’t experienced with any other traffic source. The thing is that you need to prepare an ad image and an ad icon beforehand.

Basically, you need to crop all of the images to match the formatting of your ad.

First there are the square symbols – they should be 350х350 in size.

The same should be done with a larger picture, but the size should be 360х240.

Please note that the file size should not exceed 150 KB.

I really hope the EZmob people fix this problem asap and we will be able to upload all the pictures and cut / crop them right on the platform.

When the display is ready, press the button Add creative button and move on to building the next one. I recommend creating 5-7 ads with different approaches to find the most effective subject.

Complete the creation of the ad by clicking on Save and Exit button.

Then the campaign is sent for moderation.

All you have to do is wait for traffic and conversions. After that we continue with the campaign optimization.

Campaign Optimization

Now we come to the optimization options available in EZmob.

Before we start, I’ll give you some principles of campaign analysis and some general recommendations for campaign optimization.

I usually analyze my own campaigns and optimize them in the following order:

  1. Offers
  2. landing
  3. Show
  4. Platforms / Operating System / Browser / ISP
  5. swell

Note that source optimization is performed at the end.

When you start with sources initially, there is always the risk of excluding high quality traffic (while the real results are actually the wrong offer or a bad landing page that has not converted properly).

However, there are many other cases.

For example, if at the beginning you clearly see that one of your sources is underperforming and not bringing you sales, then you shouldn’t wait for a miracle and deactivate that source ASAP.

Most likely, the audience of this particular source will not agree with the content of your offer, and users will never find your offer interesting.

Now let’s talk about source optimization. In EZmob they are called Internal Publisher ID.

You can find these settings in step 3.

Just add the sources you want to disable in the SubID list.

Open the campaign you want to edit by clicking it, then click Next button until we reach step 3.

In the SubID field, we should include the platforms that you want to stop.

Then click Next and press Save and exit for step 4.

If you need to pause an ad, you should do the same thing.

However, when you get to step 4, you can pause the display by clicking Live button. Then click on Save and exitto make sure you always save changes when you continue.

Now let’s summarize all of the above!

Yes, that’s right, in EZmob you can purchase different types of mobile traffic: from the best-selling push to the best-selling banner, native and pop.

You receive traffic from different sources under one interface.

And the most important point is that if you register and spend at least $ 100 per month, you will get $ 10 cashback.
