Marieke van de Rakt is the CEO of Yoast. Her main focus is on growing the company. She attaches great importance to maintaining an open and friendly corporate culture. Marieke is also heavily involved in the marketing of Yoast and with the Yoast SEO Academy, the online course platform.

Joost de Valk founded Yoast in 2010. Yoast never had funding before, it grew organically into a company with 140 employees maintaining a plugin with over 12 million active installs. We don’t want to stop here! We plan to grow and improve even more! Joining Newfold Digital gives us the freedom to build and iterate ideas to advance our mission. We plan to release many new features and products to make your websites easier to find.
Shared love for WordPress
Yoast loves WordPress. We are WordPress and Open Source Fanboys and Girls. Joining Newfold enables us to keep that love fully alive. Bluehost is of course a member of the amazing Newfold Digital family. We are very excited to be working with Bluehost. Over the years we have visited countless WordCamps with the Bluehost team and worked together on many WordPress core releases. Yoast and Bluehost will work together to improve our offers and our contribution to the WordPress community.
Just changes for the better
A big change, but only a change for the better! All important things stay the same. The Yoast team remains the same, all of our employees stay with us. Our head office remains in Wijchen, the Netherlands. Our brand will remain our brand. Our mission will remain our mission. Yoast SEO will remain Yoast SEO. Our CEO remains our CEO and all board members remain in their roles.
